Miami Heat Beat Roseless Bulls, Nine and Counting

The Miami Heat tacked another win on to their streak, pushing it to 9 and grabbing an important road win on the way. Chicago managed only 67 points in this one, playing without Derrick Rose, while Miami cruised through the game after halftime.

LeBron James, who had 26 points in the win, is happy with the way the Heat are playing.

“We’re putting together some good basketball right now,” James said after the game. “If we don’t turn the ball over, we get good shots at the rim, we have a good chance to win.” Probably an understatement but we’ll take it. Miami is opening up a solid lead in the NBA’s Eastern Conference, an edge that could prove vital down the line.

Next stop for Miami is a date with the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. Philadelphia is 22-30 and in 4th Place in the Atlantic division. The odds seem good for the Heat returning to American Airlines Arena with a 10-game winning streak and three games at home where they’ve been almost unbeatable all season.
